There are some unique methods for people trying to find the ultimate way to keep their mask from fogging up, while in use. While spitting into the mask does work, it really is rather disgusting. Not only is it gross, it can also open up an avenue for eye infections by allowing germs from the mouth to come into possible contact with the eyes. That is why we stock McNett Sea Drops which is a combination anti-fog and lens cleaner.
It is a concentrated liquid and all it takes is two or three drops in each lens to turn your view of the underwater world from a foggy haze to a clear cut exciting adventure. This is great for all glass lenses and is not confined to only masks as it even works well on scopes, binoculars and even night vision goggles. It should be noted it should not be used on swim goggles because it has plastic lens. It comes in a 1 1/4 fluid ounce squeeze applicator bottle but please read and follow all manufacturer directions and warnings printed on the bottle. Watch our video below to see how to use it.
For Snorkeling Masks:
Apply two drops of Sea Drops to inside and outside of dry lens, rub throughout. Rinse once before use. Do not over apply. Use Sea Buff to pre-clean new masks or read How to Prepare a New Mask. Sea Drops is not for use on swim goggles.
For Eye Protection Systems, Helmet Visors, Faceshields, Night Vision Goggles, Scopes, Binoculars, Ski Goggles, Hockey Masks, Sunglasses, Personal Eyewear & More:
Apply Sea Drops to all lens surfaces. Spread over entire lens with non-abrasive lens cloth. Let dry. Buff lightly until clear.
Caution: Eye Irritant:
Avoid direct contact with eyes. In case of eye contact, flush with fresh water for 15 minutes. Contact physician if irritation persists. Do not over apply. Use only as directed. Not for use on contact lenses or swim goggles. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN!
