VIDEO - CRESSI PALAU SAF FINS VS NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC FIT FINS
Staff member Cathy reviews the Cressi Palau SAF Fins and the National Geographic Fit Fins. After putting to the test of the two travel style barefoot fins, Cathy shares her personal view on the pros and cons of each style.
Cathy does end up voting for the Cressi Palau SAF Fins as a winner with respect to design, comfort, price and personal fit. (because of the non-replaceable fins straps & price, we discontinued the Fit Fins.)

CRESSI PALAU SAF FINS vs NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC FIT FINS - VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:
Hi, this is Cathy. We're out at the quarry and we are trying on some new gear. Here is on my left foot, the nice, bright, yellow fin. I have got the National Geographic Fit Traveler Fins and on my right foot is the Cressi Palau SAF, Short Adjustable Fin.
I had the opportunity to use both of these today and the left fin, the National Geographic fin, if you notice, has the open toe design where the Cressie Palau SAF Snorkeling Fin has the closed toe design.
Travel Fins have become very popular in the last few years, especially since the airlines have been charging a fortune for additional weight and gear in luggage. If you travel like me, it's always a lot of gear.
And the difference between a travel snorkeling fin and traditional snorkeling fin is between five to eight inches in length. Now my opinion, I personally like the travel fins because I prefer to just putt-putt around the top of the water. I don't need to go fast and I dont need to go far.
But there are those snorkelers who have been snorkeling for years and they're used to and in their comfort zone with the traditional length fin.
Now between the National Geographic Fin and the Cressi Palau SAF Snorkeling Fin, which one did I prefer? They both had a nice kick. They both have a nice design. Actually I was a little disappointed in their thin straps. I thought they were both a little thin and which makes it easier to break.
But since I can't go by the design or I can't go by the usability of it, I'm going to go by price point and Cressi Palau SAF Snorkeling Fins win my vote.
Now with that being said, let me point out that the National Geographic Fit Traveler fin has something none of the other snorkeling fins, traditional or travel, that nobody else has, and it does have a wider foot pocket.
Now I would not go to say that it fits men with quadruple E size shoes, but I would say that for the person whose size large is tight on the width, the Fit Traveler fin wins.
Now also I want to point out, because you are paying for the name "National Geographic," which is a very prominent and very deserving name in the industry, I was -- you're going to pay a pretty penny for the Fit Traveler fin.
