The U.S. Divers Island Dry Snorkel was chosen to compliment the mask. Its sleek design features the Pivot Dry Technology which means that when the snorkel drops completely below the surface of the water, the breathing tube gets closed off so there is no unexpected rush of water going down it. It re-opens again when the top of the snorkel goes above the water line. The non-replaceable silicone mouthpiece provides excellent comfort with less jaw fatigue. The snorkel employs a one-way purge valve which is located at the base of the snorkel. The purge valve allows for easy clearing of the snorkel should the mouthpiece drop below the surface of the water when not in use.
