SNORKELING IN NORTH AMERICA
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the wonderful world of snorkeling. We would like to do that by introducing you where in the world the snorkeling is wonderful. Throughout our travels we have gone to many places in the world and below is where, in our opinion, the snorkeling was remarkable.
The destinations on this page are located in the North American Continental region. In order to make the list of destinations, many factors were taken into consideration. Accessability and the health of the reefs was very important. While some places say they can accommodate snorkelers, we found that scuba divers were preferred over snorkelers. It is sort of disheartening when you have to share a boat with divers and wait for their first deep dive and all you can see is the deep blue water, tiny scuba divers and their bubbles. So please check to see if there are snorkel excursions are for snorkelers only. Our factors also included marine life which is both abundant and diverse and awesome. Snorkeling with the whale sharks in Holbox, Mexico is a great example of an awesome snorkeling adventure and snorkeling with these majestic creatures is awesome and humbling. We want to see a healthy reef and being taken to a reef that is dead or badly bleached out can be a real downer.
