You will not be disappointed with the high quality found with this set of Oceanic snorkeling gear and the combo starts with the Oceanic Mako 2 Mask. This mask uses the highest grade of 100% silicone for the mask skirt which provides an exceptional comfort and fit. Since silicone is more resistant to the elements and won't break down as readily as other materials, the durability factor is greatly increased. The mask seal uses a wide double seal on the skirt to allow it to conform to a wider variety of facial sizes. When looking through the mask, you will notice that the field of vision both horizontally and vertically is greatly enhanced and this is due to the unique shape of the dual tempered glass lenses. The lightweight mask was designed to bring the lenses closer to the face which serves to make it a low volume mask and having the lenses closer also takes most of the mask frame out of the your viewing area. The buckle adjustment for the strap is quite easy to operate and the strap itself breaks totally away from tradition. While most mask straps are made of silicone, Oceanic decided to go with nylon web strapping and a nylon laminate neoprene pad. The reason for this break from tradition is mainly a comfort issue as most masks use silicone straps which are more prone to having hair get tangled in them and the Oceanic Comfort Strap greatly reduces this problem. 

The Oceanic V6 Snorkeling Fins chosen to go with this snorkeling set uses a split fin technology which was developed by a company called Nature's Wing. Nature's Wing developed the propeller fin technology which introduced split fins to snorkeling enthusiasts worldwide. The result is a fin that provides excellent thrust without expending excess energy. By reducing the energy needed to kick, split fins allow you more in water snorkeling time to enjoy the sport that you love. This fin is also favored for snorkelers because of the soft material used in the making of the foot pocket which cradles your bare feet in comfort. The blade portion of the V6 fins uses deep side rails which allows for a more controlled kick by channeling the water toward the fin tips rather than allowing it to spill off the sides, the split in the fin actually adjust to your kicking style. These fins are designed to be worn barefoot with a wide range of sizing available.

If you want the Cadillac of dry snorkels, then you need not to look any further because we have included it in this outstanding set. The snorkel is the Oceanic Ultra Dry which has received praises worldwide for its excellent performance. The dry top feature of this snorkel is designed to quickly close the breathing inlet portion of the barrel should the entire snorkel drop below the waterline while in use. When the top of the snorkel breaks the surface again the mechanism reopens the valve allowing you instant access to air. In essence, the Ultra Dry Snorkel is designed to keep water outside of the snorkel where it belongs. The only time water would be able to enter the snorkel would be if the mouthpiece dropped below the water line while not in use. For this reason, Oceanic decided to add a one way purge valve which is located at the bottom of the snorkel. The purge valve is over-sized which allows for quick and efficient clearing of any water that may have entered through the mouthpiece area. The snorkel barrel is curved in a way to follow the natural curvature of the head and the reason for this is to streamline the snorkel by reducing unnecessary drag in the water. The snorkel keeper which is used to connect the snorkel to the mask has a very nice feature to it. Instead of having to fight the snorkel clip every time you want to attach or detach it, this snorkel keeper is a two piece keeper that allows you to keep the clip portion of it attached to the mask strap at all times, you simply attach the snorkel to the clip. The mouthpiece of the Ultra Dry Snorkel is replaceable and uses the same high quality silicone as was mentioned in the description of the Mako 2 mask.

Rather than have you carry this idyllic snorkeling set in a plastic shopping bag, we have made it a point to include a handy heavy duty rubberized nylon mesh carry bag. The rubberized coating on the mesh adds some cushion as well as increases the durability of the bag itself. The mesh allows water from wet gear to drain out of the bag while giving access to air to help in drying. The bag is 33 inches long and 14 inches wide and uses a draw string closure with a push lock slider to help keep it closed during transport. The nylon 1 inch web side strap allows for shoulder or hand carry.
