How cool is this? A video camera, integrated right into a snorkeling mask. Introducing the Extreme Sport Cams Explorer Series Digital Camera Mask by Liquid Image. With a 15 foot (5 meter) depth rating this is perfect for snorkelers, free divers and swimmers.

The camera is a 5.0 Mega Pixel for both video and stills with a video recording rate of up to 30 fps at VGA. The internal NAND flash memory is 32MB with the data format for stills being JPEG and M-JPEG for video and the storage medium that it accepts is Micro SD (up to 32GB). (Micro SD cards are not included.) An example of the storage capacity with a 16GB card is right around 24,000 images or about 650 minutes of video. A USB cable is provided to download your images and video to your PC whether its windows 2000, XP, Vista or Windows 7 or Mac computers 10.4 and above.

The system is powered by 2 AAA batteries which are included and the camera accepts lithium or alkaline batteries with lithium offering a longer power time. The entire weight of the camera with batteries and a micro SD card would weigh a little over 11 ounces (339 grams). The silicone is tinted which limits the amount of light entering the masks viewing area which also aids in framing your shot. Tinted silicone (which is also hypoallergenic) is also used in the easy to adjust mask strap. Each camera mask has it's own serial number and is shipped in it's own plastic mask box for protection.
